This is a time of the year when people go gaga over the the three little words - 'Happy Friendship Day'. Last time, I remember, I was away from my home town during this time of the year. Although my plan was to return back before the Friendship Day for a blasting celebration. I tried a lot but I couldn't; I couldn't complete my work in time. The saddest news was that I found nothing to do after that but to lament over my failure, completing my work in right time.

Although I used to be bogged down with severe work loads but still I couldn't resist myself thinking about my friends and missing them. I was missing them every bit of moment. But more than that I was missing the Friendship Day celebration party that I and my peeps at Miami planned for.

I still remember that evening when I just sat back on the couch with my lappy, finding no other options to reach out to them but to shoot off mails. Trust me... my first few emails really turned out to be utter flop! No one hit me back with a response except for Matt, who wrote me the world's longest mail... "Thank you Mike, for breaking off the plan". I know they wouldn't understand... ice couldn't be melted so easily... I could feel that well!

Wish A Friend - Friends Week is Approaching Fast

I have many friends -- some good friends and a very few best friends. Rachel is one of them. Her mom has been diagnosed with mild heart attack and she is in the medical supervision in the hospital this Mothers Day. I had to be there with Rachel... Mothers Day for me was not as good as the last time, although my mom gave me a shriek of surprise with her sudden presence.

Rachel's mom is recovering fast and I hope she is going to get well very soon. And guess what the Friends Week is just around the corner (May 18th to May 24th) -- the next week! We may have a real blast celebrating the event. I don't want to let this golden opportunity go away from my hand.

But now this I will miss John who was with me so far and he wished join us but he is returning back to Houston this weekend. But there a way to surprise him after he goes back. Yes... probably he doesn't remember the friends week. I'm reaching out to him with loads of friendship wishes. A brand new card each fine morning through the week may be the perfect way to strike him with a new surprise each day.

Hey! How are you doing? Hope you haven't forgotten that Tax Day is right close at the hand -- April 15. It wasn't there in my mind the last year and there wasn't anyone to ping me with a reminder note. Thank God that John's there to remind me of Tax Day this year. Suddenly this morning I was glad to find his email popped up in my inbox. It says, "Mike... I've been missing you for some time. So I'm shooting off this mail for you. But I found nothing much to say except asking you 'how's it going?' Anyway, remember that the tax filing deadline remains April 15. Take Care. Bye." Tax Day occasionally coincides with Patriots' Day, the civic holiday in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and state of Maine. This is an added advantage, because when this happens deadline is legally extended by one day. Well, had it been the case, it wouldn't have come to any help for me anyway, because the extension for the tax deadline are give only for people of Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New York, Vermont, the District of Columbia and New Hampshire.
